New Balance unveils its Year of the Horse 2026 collection

The world of sneakers and collecting has always operated in a fast-paced fashion. With the exception of truly iconic releases, every drop almost immediately prompts the question: what's next? The holiday calendar is no exception—the Christmas season has just concluded, and the industry's focus is already confidently shifting to the Chinese New Year and the symbolic Year of the Horse .

New Balance is joining the celebration by officially unveiling its Year of the Horse 2026 collection, comprised of six models. In it, the brand combines its freshest silhouettes with tried-and-true lifestyle classics—models that have long been part of the brand's DNA.

The line opens with the New Balance 2000, featuring a subdued yet striking black and red color scheme that immediately sets the tone for the entire collection. It's followed by the New Balance 2010 , which offers a more grounded and natural look. While the 2000 retains the familiar construction of the main line, the 2010 receives additional decorative elements: woven patterns on the tongue and chain-effect mesh on the underlayer, adding depth to the design.

The New Balance 204L duo is particularly eye-catching. This trendy low-profile silhouette embodies the Year of the Horse theme with pony hair inserts on the heel. Both versions are crafted in earthy, natural tones and finished with a contrasting black platform, highlighting the texture of the materials.

Rounding out the collection are two versions of the New Balance 574, an iconic model presented in rich black and beige variations. These pairs strike a unique balance between festive design and everyday versatility, making the Year of the Horse collection not only symbolic but also extremely practical.
